San Diego Comic Con – Community & Togetherness

This past weekend, I attended Comic Con. What an amazing experience. It was my first time attending, and there was such an amazing community. Everyone bonded together over shared love of stories. I ended up speaking and connecting with people, who I would probably never speak to outside of Comic Con due to incorrect stereotypes. We were able to connect over our love of Game of Thrones, The Flash, Orphan Black, Marvel, DC, etc.

During the conference, someone mentioned that Comic Con brings together people that would normally connect. That it’s a way to bridge gaps. I believe that’s how the world should be. I know that may sound corny, but I think we can all learn a lot from the Comic Con community. Wear what you want, be whoever you are without fear of judgement. There was a clear acceptance and support for everyone’s cosplay and everyone’s general being. I didn’t see anyone cutting lines (and the lines were long), and I didn’t hear anyone mocking anyone’s outfit (I pulled my Storm costume together in a day). I’m looking forward to going back next year.

I’m attaching a few images from the days I was there. Did anyone else attend Comic Con? Do you want to attend Comic Con? Would love to hear from you all!
